Urgent Pop with Timeless Lyrics

Star Witness is always musically on guard for the next life experience that calls for a song to be written and recorded. In addition to soulful sounds they like to incorporate lots of visuals in order to bring more emotional depth to their work. Live video backdrops, live painters and livestream shows are incorporated as well as music and lyrics videos in addition to a video podcast.

When the fluoride industry attempted to propagandize it's way into their beloved city, Star Witness fought back with music, video and humor. "The Last Straw - A musical parody in the Key of F No!".

"We've had our say. So without further ado, let's hear the stirring counterargument—IN SONG.
Video via Portland band Star Witness, who describe it as "The funniest four minutes of fluoride fun that you may ever know." I agree with this assessment."

Ned Lannamann • Portland Mercury

After witnessing a mother in our community unsuccessfully attempting to sue her own daughter for custody of a 16 year old teenager, the lyrics and music video for "Some Mamas" was born. A modern and upbeat version of Randy Newman's 'Baltimore' was recorded while Baltimore was dealing with intense police brutality issues. You get the point.

The members of Star Witness are all hip to the healing powers of good music. When it's 'done right' music can be a release for both the maker and the listener. Making that happen is a huge part of the inspiration that brought them together. After starting the band in 2010, writing songs and playing live shows for a year, producer Chris Allen and singer/songwriter Fern Capella then switched the focus to practicing. recording and developing their video production skills as a duo. They also happened to get married before they resumed playing live shows again with a full crew in 2015.
This band is less like your average music group on Earth - People who listen to the same music, dress alike and all grew up watching the same cartoons. No, they're more like a colorful crew of spacefaring, likeminded musicians zipping through the galaxy aboard the Star Witness armed with big beats, cool visuals and a whole lot to say.

2018 is starting out with strong momentum for this crew. They've upgraded their online presence with a brand new website and are currently booking live shows while working on a new music video - A parody of the Bruno Mars release, 'The Lazy Song' called 'The Anti-Lazy Song'. They're also finishing up work on a full length CD, 'One of the Ones' which will be available as a disc as well as on all major digital outlets.
If you're not fortunate enough to catch them live in person you can still see and hear them perform in real time as they fire up soulful sounds for anyone on planet Earth who feels like tuning into a livestream show from the comfort of wherever they may be.
